‘Living well with advancing illness – An interdisciplinary rehabilitative palliative care approach to patient care', Palliative Rehabilitation Seminar
Webinar, 11 June from 10am – 4 pm in Ashling Hotel, Dublin.
Introduction:
The seminar was targeted at people working within specialist palliative care services and it was an opportunity to explore current rehabilitative practices across specialist palliative care services both on the island of Ireland and internationally. It provided the opportunity for lateral thinking to consider the expected increase in demand for palliative care services including rehabilitative services which support people in reaching their physical, social, emotional and spiritual potential consistent with physiological and environmental limitations and preferences. There is a growing demand on services due to an aging population and more people living longer with multiple chronic illnesses.
